Management and Governance


Government and industry have agreed upon a robust management and governance structure which reflects the fundamental obligation of the industry participants to deliver the AWDs in accordance with the alliance agreement.

The management and governance structure maximises the opportunities for consultation and collaboration.

The structure includes:

- a ‘Principals Council’ with an independent chair and executives from the Defence organisation and industry participants;

- a ‘Project Board’ made up of AWD Program Manager, Commodore Craig Bourke, Raytheon General Manager - Shipbuilding, Rod Equid, ASC Chief Executive Officer -Shipbuilding, Mark Lamarre and Director Navantia Australia, Francisco Baron.

- an ‘Alliance Management Team’ which comprises of directors from across the Alliance structure.
